My husband, Kristian, and I are celebrating our 1 year wedding anniversary in a couple of weeks! To celebrate, I wanted to share my favorite engagement photos we had taken in July 2019.
These were taken in various spots across the Blue Ridge Mountains, just outside of Brevard, North Carolina, near Asheville. The waterfall location is Looking Glass Falls.
As a plus size couple, we were a bit anxious about getting our pictures taken. Before our shoot I studied other photos to get ideas, made sure we had some outfits that would work in advance, and at the end of the day just relaxed and had fun!
The two dresses I’m wearing are from Amazon. You can find the black dress here ( I ordered the 3x) and the green dress here (I ordered the XX-Large Plus). I had to alter the green dress to fit better in the bodice but otherwise, I loved them both!
The floral hair clip I wore, I made myself. I’ll be adding a DIY post soon on how you can make your own!

Thank you so much Tegan! We are newer to the area (originally from the Midwest) and we absolutely love Asheville. We’ve also been having fun exploring the whole state but haven’t made it to Raleigh yet. Hopefully someday soon!
